Here are litter-mate sisters Isis (ready for adoption) and my girl Iris. Not a lot of family resemblance. They are both smaller girls but have their own looks. They seem to be more aware of each other than other siblings I have had here. Iris is always really excited to see her sis. Iris greets her with lots of sniffing and fussing. You can almost see Sis roll her eyes, "big deal I am your sister get over it!!".

Last week we thought we were having a good adoption week. First Dori went to a home as a test drive. Her would be greyhound brother was great with her but Dori's nervous personality brought her back home to the Tripps. Then Sis went out on what looked to be the perfect adoption...on paper. Less than 48 hours later it also flopped. Isis just couldn't figure out home life without another dog to follow. DANG!!! There was almost a whole day that we were holding our breath and ready to pat each other on the back....then the tide turned. I know there will be great homes for both of these girls one day. I just wish it was soon. I hope people's hearts soon turn toward giving loving homes to greyhounds in need...we are ready!!
